C2S Virtual Leaders Forum with John Workman, Senior Partner BPE Solicitors

C2S Leaders ‘Working It Out Together”

Thank you to John Workman, Senior Partner for sharing with our C2S Leaders today the  BPE Solicitor COVID story. John talked us through his 24 year experience at BPE, from previous recessions, the banking crisis, highs, lows and lessons learnt along the way. John was candid and positive about the future, sharing some nuggets and gems and pearls of wisdom learnt throughout his long career in law and with bpe.

“Hang on in there as things are usually never as bad as you think”

                                                                                                                                               John Workman

John Workman, Senior Partner BPE Solicitors

John has been at BPE for over 24 years and is a Corporate lawyer and has led on driving the business forward. John will share their story, thoughts on leadership and insights in to what they are seeing nationally. As a leading law firm, recently nominated for three awards in the Insider South West Dealmakers Awards 2020, they operate across all disciplines and have a huge amount of expertise in employment law, M&A, property, commercial law and family law, we are very much looking forward to a C2S Leader catch up with John.

“We are  of course, lawyers. But first and foremost we are an entrepreneurial business – we are a management buyout; we have bought and sold businesses and we have all the same issues you do.  At BPE we focus on giving solutions to our clients – the product we offer is law, but the service we provide is answers. If there’s one thing our clients all have in common, it’s that they’re run by fast moving, fast thinking entrepreneurial teams, all they want is answers (usually now) that they can rely on”. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the shape of business across every industry. Whilst some businesses are cutting back on staffing costs, others are investing in people to meet new, unforeseen demand or ‘pivoting’ – requiring people with different skill sets.
So Re Resource are keen to find out how your business has been affected by the crisis and your thoughts about the future, allowing us to better support employers in the months and years ahead.

As a thank-you from Re Resource, anyone who takes the time to complete the survey will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win an iPad!

This taster session aims to facilitate an appreciation of the complex range of symptoms that a person can experience when stressed whilst also examining the reasons why people experience and deal with stress differently. The session is part of a wider programme of study that if completed will then enable the learners to recognise and manage their own stress through a range of validated techniques that build both resilience and coping. You can only look after others if you look after yourself first!

We very much look forward to seeing you online again soon and please stay in touch, send us your good news stories and let us know how we can help and support you.
