At this quarterly Sustainability Focus we talked to Spirax Sarco to learn more about their ‘One Planet’ initiative and how we can all make a difference and from BioPak on their sustainability packaging and composting.

About the event
Sustainability is a massive and many faceted concept and means different things to different people. It is easy for organisations to focus on carbon and energy reduction (because they get most of the airtime) but there is so much more to it and it’s vital that organisations start to think in a more integrated and holistic way to reduce risk and reap the benefits …..of which there are many!
Sharing knowledge and ideas is invaluable as we all continue or start our sustainability journery. These online sessions highlight best practice, offer great insights and ideas, often helping to short cut your journey as we can take ideas, learnings, collaborate and learn from others mistakes.
This month we heard from Biopak on what you can do about sustainable packaging and composting and from Spirax Sarco on some of their leanings and best practice on their journey in the last year towards their sustainability goals.
Some of their commitments are:
- Achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030*
- Deliver a 10% biodiversity net gain
- Send zero waste to landfill
- Grow sales of products with quantified sustainability benefits
- Raise standards in our supply chain
- Establish a £5 million education fund
