What a fantastic glamorous night of celebration and partying! From the moment the ‘chauffeur buses’ dropped everyone off dressed in their finest, people knew they were in for a special night. Guests proceeded to the Manor entrance along the red carpet, to be greeted with a glass of bubbly in front of a real log fire in the huge hall way and reception rooms before leading into the jazzy Rock Bar.
A beautifully presented and delicious 3-course dinner followed a passionate speech and saying of grace by Jim. FTI’s first 50 years were captured through a rolling photographic record, shown on the big screen. We took the opportunity to celebrate long service awards with our colleagues Stewart Gunnell – 35 years, Dave Nairn – 30 years, Marcia Hall – 25 years, Tom Russell and Chris Ockham – both for 20 years’ service and then danced the night away to the excellent Chip Shop Boys. The Magic Mirror proved immensely popular, whether it was dressing up in costume or just having a memorable photo with a loved one or work colleague.
Many of our key suppliers kindly donated prizes for our raffle, which raised a generous £335 for our two 2017 charities.
An absolutely memorable evening, and already looking forward to the Centenary event and celebrations………………!!!
