Bamboo wins mobile and fixed line telephony contract with Tracscare

Cheltenham, 17th July 2017: Tracscare, a specialist provider of support for people with Mental Health needs, Learning Disabilities, Autism and Acquired Brain Injuries, has chosen to consolidate its telecommunications services withBamboo Technology Group (Bamboo). Following an extensive tender process, Bamboo was selected to provide Tracscare with mobile and fixed line telephony, and data connectivity.

Tracscare takes an innovative approach to care, offering support to vulnerable adults with challenging or complex needs who may have experienced difficulties in finding suitable services elsewhere. Tracscare has acquired a number of companies during its growth over the last few years, resulting in over seven different providers of its fixed line and mobile services. It therefore issued a public tender to consolidate these services under one provider.

Bamboo won the contract based on four criteria:

  • Its proposal being the most closely aligned to the needs of the business
  • Its proven ability and experience in the healthcare industry
  • The quality of its customer service and support
  • Competitive pricing

Bamboo will be providing all of Tracscare’s mobile telephony services, as well as fixed line IP telephony and data connectivity at a number of their sites across the UK.

Given the complexity of Tracscare’s existing telecoms services from seven different providers – all with varying contract end dates – Bamboo has produced a strategic migration plan to transition its various services over the course of a 6-7 month period. By implementing and managing a staged transfer of services, Bamboo reduces any potential interruptions for Tracscare’s users, which can occur with a “Big Bang” migration, where everything is moved at once, while also providing Tracscare with the option to avoid any early termination fees from its incumbent providers.
