Willans pair recognised yet again in Chambers High Net Worth guide

Willans LLP solicitors have been recognised for the eighth consecutive year by a prestigious and independent legal guide that recommends the best professional advisors for high-net-worth individuals.

Paul Gordon – partner and head of litigation & dispute resolution at the Cheltenham-based firm – has been ranked in Chambers High Net Worth guide for the fifth year running, whilst Simon Cook – partner and head of wills, trusts & probate – has continued to feature in every edition since its inception in 2016.

Described as a “top-notch and tenacious lawyer who gets great results for his clients,” Paul has been included as part of the private wealth disputes category covering the South West region. The guide acknowledges his ability to handle cases “professionally, but also sympathetically” and highlights that “he goes above and beyond” in his work and “does not back down easily.”

The highly regarded wills, trusts & probate team have also been recognised alongside Simon who heads the department, rated in the top band for private wealth law in Cheltenham and the surrounding area.

Simon – who is “personable, knowledgeable, clear and concise” – is recommended by Chambers UK once more for his specialist knowledge and “extensive experience” in the area of private wealth law, of which he has been a part of for 30 years.

Managing partner, Bridget Redmond, commented on the latest ranking results, saying: “Receiving recognition every year in Chambers High Net Worth guide reflects the quality of advice our firm offers, and is something I’m immensely proud of. Congratulations to Paul, Simon and his team – the achievement is absolutely deserved.”

Published annually, the guide provides recommendations of ‘go-to’ professionals for high-net-worth individuals. The results are compiled by a team of independent editors following a rigorous research process and in-depth analysis, identifying the best legal talent who deal with these complex areas of law.

The rankings are based on numerous factors, including technical legal ability, client service & satisfaction, responsiveness, depth of team and commercial vision.
