St Edward’s has reached the finals yet again in the Education Business Awards

On 14th of June St Edward’s will be represented at the prestigious Education Business Awards where they are a finalist in two categories – academic performance and leadership.

This is the second year in a row that the school has been nominated for academic performance, a title they won last year. In addition to this the Headmaster, Mr Matthew Burke has been nominated in the outstanding leadership category.

St Edward’s was fortunate to achieve awards for well being, community engagement, academic performance and leadership and the school states it is fantastic to have this external validation of the educational experience they are providing their families.

Quote from Matthew Burke, Headmaster of St Edward’s

“These are exciting times for our St Edward’s community as we move from strength to strength in so many aspects of life within the school. Nominations such as these are further demonstrations of our desire to provide the best for each of our students, whatever their talents may be. Life at St Edward’s is about so much more than the outstanding academic results our students achieve and this is additional evidence of our desire to ensure every student becomes the best them that they can be.”

The Education Business Awards bring together the best schools in the UK with the best businesses that work in education. The awards celebrate outstanding contributions to the world of education. They are different to other awards as schools and individuals do not nominate themselves but are selected by the judging panel having observed the work of the school and individual over the last year.

Regardless of where we come, having been nominated in the top 5 of schools in the UK for the second year running is proof of the outstanding experience families secure at St Edward’s.

In an interesting twist, the wife of our Headmaster, who is the Principal of Newent Community School is also present at the awards as they are a finalist in the Community award.
