Public Hearts is Awarded £9,000 of CIL Neighbourhood Fund

To keep you updated as Public Hearts Key Partners

Public Hearts Defibrillator Campaign successfully applied for £9,000 funding specifically to support defibrillator coverage in high density residential non-parished wards.
A huge thank you to the team at Cheltenham Borough Council, the independent judging panel and all our advocates for supporting our not-for-profit work to place public access defibrillators in our communities.
With 77.5% of out of hospital cardiac arrests in the South West occurring at home, it is vital our communities have access to lifesaving equipment when moments matter.

– Over the last 10 days, 6 of the 19 defibs I’m currently the Guardian of (out of Public Hearts total of 57) have been accessed.
– Including our most recent defib at The Ridge, Wymans Brook accessed 11 days after being installed.

Public Hearts looks forward to continuing and expanding its support with Cheltenham Borough Homes, having already facilitated 4 public access defibrillators through the provision of Spirax Sarco donated cabinets to facilitate their existing internally held units, and local communities to ensure that as many as possible in our communities have access to these life changing and life-saving pieces of equipment.
Our work to support YMCA can also continue, with the supply of additional equipment in addition to the two defibs and cabinets already donated.
As Public Hearts nears the installation of its 60th defibrillator, this is most welcome news and will bring the running total closer to 70.

Thank you for sharing our not for profit and completely pro bono community campaign, here is our Public Herts Defib Hub to increase awareness and understanding.
You are welcome to share all Public Herts information as you see fit, attached are a couple of recent useful images.

More news to follow when locations are confirmed and installation dates agreed.
