Leaders Boardroom – Strategic Frameworks

Over the last 2 weeks we have taken 2 groups through 4 of the elements of the Boardroom Advisors 16 Box Architecture

We have had an opportunity in these uncertain times to review a key areas of our businesses to include our current and future requirements in the Boardroom.   In these sessions we focused on Strategic Direction; Business Growth; Strategic Funding & Planning for Growth.

This is a highly therapeutic approach for business owners (and senior teams). You can declutter your head, address issues which may have been circulating for months or even years, and emerge with a clear roadmap.

We spent some time looking at SWOT and MOST.  Many of us already use SWOT/PESTLE when we start to look at what is going on in our business.  John helped us to take the tool a bit further and also to take a look at MOST:

MOST analysis

To conduct internal environmental analysis, you can rely on MOST.  This tool ensures that your project is well-aligned to the 4 attributes. The 4 factors assessed in MOST are:

  • Mission:

Determining where your business intends to go

  • Objectives:

Deciding what goals will help attain the mission

  • Strategies:

Planning options to help move forward

  • Tactics:

Planning how the strategies will be implemented
