Teaching our children to give back and be a valuable part society is hugely beneficial to their personal development, wellbeing and a confidence boost after lockdown.
My daughther Lilly has loved working in this shop and volunteering this summer. She comes home beaming and brimming with enthusiasm. The staff at Lilian Faithfull Care charity are wonderful, a pleasure to work with and delightful – she is loving her time in the shop and loving doing something useful and valuable and giving back to society.
This experience has improved her confidence as a Covid teenager after spending many years in her bedroom studying and given her lots of social and communication skills.
