‘To help support some of its clients in recovery back into the workplace as well as generating income and rising awareness The Nelson Trust runs various catering outlets including The Sober Parrot community café in St James Square Cheltenham.
From there the trust offers catering for events and businesses.
The Commercial Foundation recently used this service and Adam Smith it’s Director said
“At Commercial and the Commercial Foundation, we’re always keen to support fellow Gloucestershire social enterprises.
As a result, we chose to switch our catering to The Nelson Trust and Sober Parrott in January 2022.
The fine work done by The Nelson Trust in supporting the long-term recovery of people whose lives have been torn apart by addiction and trauma has many parallels with that of the Commercial Foundation.
We are united in our desire to empower, support and encourage people to overcome tough times and find purpose, develop new skills and a discover a brighter future.
The Nelson Trust and Sober Parrott have provided us with some outstanding vegan buffets throughout Veganuary, reducing the impact on the environment while still delivering delicious food.
We will be continuing to support The Nelson Trust and Sober Parrot, throughout 2022 and beyond.”
