Free two day Cyber Security for your Business workshop 27-28 January 2022

Following a positive response from the October cyber security workshop for local SMEs, we are delighted to announce that “Cyber Security for Your Business” will run again in January 2022.

  • Spend two productive days in the company of some of the top experts in IT and cyber security from the University of the West of England, NatWest and Gloucestershire College.
  • Increase your knowledge of the cyber crime landscape and current threats.
  • Have a go at pentesting and pinpoint your business’s vulnerabilities.
  • Understand crucial policies, learn best practices, and develop better processes to protect your company from hacks and scammers.
  • Meet and network with like-minded business owners.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided. No prior specialist knowledge is required

What are Skills Bootcamps? Skills Bootcamps comprise government-funded intensive training courses (up to 16 weeks), mentorship sessions and career-coaching webinars available to anyone from the age of 19 who are: . in work. self-employed. unemployed for more than 12 months. returning to work after a break

Certificate of Future Technologies 

This programme has been designed to help businesses develop and grow through 18 free bite-sized skills courses – worth up to £2,100 each – that staff can easily commit to and do not require too much time away from the business to complete.

There are 10 core and 8 specialist modules for employees to choose from, to address their personal professional aspirations or those of their organisations.

At GC, we are delivering modules in Fundamentals of HTML5 and CSS3. Other modules available include Cyber Security Incident Management for Decision Makers, Fundamentals of Project Management, Introduction to Python, Sustainability and Social Values, Introduction to Azure and Data Analytics.

To qualify for the Certificate of Future Technologies, employees are required to commit to a minimum of 50 hours of learning and pass their assessment by 31 March 2022.
