Spirax Sarco: Expanding Horizons in France
As part of Spirax Sarco’s global growth, many of our manufacturing plants and offices began with just an agent. As the popularity of our products grew, we invested more into each country. In 1937, we established Sarco Appareils Thermostatiques in Paris, France, importing and selling steam traps from the USA.
By 1939, the company had progressed to assembling traps themselves, starting with just one lathe and a press. This marked the beginning of our hands-on manufacturing journey in the region, showcasing our commitment to quality and innovation.
Our global expansion is a testament to the trust and demand for Spirax Sarco products worldwide.
Spirax Sarco: Meeting the Challenges of the 1940s
In the 1940s, Spirax Sarco rose to the occasion, providing essential steam solutions during the Second World War, a time of significant energy shortages.
Our innovative products, like the Spirax LB Steam Trap (pictured here), played a vital role in supporting key industries.
This period highlights our commitment to engineering excellence and our ability to adapt to the needs of the times. As we continue to explore our heritage, we celebrate the milestones that have defined our journey and the innovations that have shaped industries worldwide.
