Recycle Your Unwanted Clothes and Help Provide Mobile Cancer Care for Patients Across the Country

It costs £198 to run each Unit, every day.
One easy way we can raise funds is by recycling clothes. Not only does it raise vital funds to ensure cancer patients receive their treatment closer to home, but it’s also great for the planet and sustainability – a win win!
Take part with your company, your community group, or your friends and family. It doesn’t cost you anything and is a great way for you to declutter whilst making a difference for people living with cancer.

It’s as simple as it sounds. Take part in our clothes recycling challenge and make a difference for people suffering from cancer across the country.
Hope for Tomorrow build and maintain mobile cancer care units, helping more people living with cancer to receive their treatment in their communities. This gives them time – time to spend with loved ones, and time outside of cancer.

How you can get involved:
You set the rules – you can either take part on an individual basis, in small teams, or maybe you want a departmental or office competition? You set the timing too – pick whether a specific day, week or even month will work best for you. – Download your challenge poster here

The aim of the game is to fill as many 75l black bags as possible – who ever fills the most wins! What do we win we hear you say? Pride, bragging rights and the knowledge that you’ve helped people access the treatment they need closer to home!

Each group will be given a form to keep a log of how many bags have been collected by each person or team, and at the end of the challenge, all bags will be collectively weighed on collection so you’ll all understand how much has been raised and the difference your support has made.

There’s a few simple rules to follow:

– Items need to be wearable, not soiled or ripped

– We can pick up all the bags you collect – it just needs to be at a pre-agreed location, giving us seven days’ notice *

– You need to collect a minimum of 20 bags for us to be able to arrange collection. Don’t worry if you don’t collect that much – we can easily let you know where our nearest clothes bank is for you to drop your collection off at a time that works for you

– Be careful of lifting heavy bags

– Follow current Covid-19 rules as and where applicable

So why not sign up today, We’ll provide you with everything you need (minus the black bags!), forms, posters and email templates to kick start your challenge. Collect Clothes for Cancer and make a real difference in your community!
