New for 2024, John Lewis & Partners Cheltenham has launched a wellbeing service called Randox.

  • Innovative, first of its kind partnership will offer access to preventative healthcare
  • New service an extension of existing in-store services, including opticians, wellness and beauty clinics
  • John Lewis stores in High Wycombe, Bluewater and Cheltenham will be first to offer the service

John Lewis customers will be able to benefit from comprehensive health programmes aimed at preventative healthcare through a partnership with Randox Health, the UK’s leading health diagnostics company.

The addition of diagnostic health marks a natural extension to our growing range of personalised in-store services which include opticians, wellness and beauty clinics.

Aimed at helping customers understand more about their health now and in the future, Randox will provide detailed, full body health checks to identify early signs of health issues, even before symptoms occur. Customers will be able to get tested for vitamin deficiencies, hormone imbalances and key health concerns, plus much more.

The range of health programmes on offer are:

  • Everyman and Everywoman which each provide up to 150 data points linked to key health areas. A personalised health plan summarising the results is provided, with retesting after six months.
  • The Signature health programme offers 350 data points, genetic testing, GP consultation, and retesting after six months
  • Everyathlete gives key health insights to help optimise training, and nutrition for maximum performance
  • Also available are specific programmes focussed on preventative health including gut, fertility, hormonal, male and female health as well as genetic testing.

Prior to consultation, clients are provided with guidance as well as medical and lifestyle questionnaires to complete. Appointments are conducted by experienced Randox healthcare professionals in the store’s new Randox clinic, which has a staffed waiting area and private consultation rooms.

Once samples have been analysed at Randox’s laboratories, clients are provided with a comprehensive diagnostics report within 2-5 working days, including a breakdown of results, what they mean and next steps. Alongside post-report consultations, the results can also be shared with other medical professionals.

Naomi Simcock, Executive Director, John Lewis, said, “We pride ourselves on being there for our customers whenever they need us with products and services that are tailored for them. As trusted stores for local communities across the country, we can play an important role by making services like healthcare and wellness more convenient and accessible. The launch comes as we are seeing customers rediscover the joy of visiting our branches, with the number of visitors increasing by 8% last year.

Complementary services are an important part of this, and the new Randox Clinics will sit alongside other wellbeing services such as our in-branch opticians.
