Decibel Fire & Security specialises in the design, supply and installation of access control, CCTV, intruder & fire alarms, and safeguarding solutions to keep people and premises safe from the threat of fire and unwelcome intrusion.

With 90% of the business in the commercial sector, Decibel systems ensure the safety and security of properties, companies and people, across the southwest. They deliver a one-stop-shop service from system design to installation, maintenance and ongoing monitoring services on new sites. For some clients they can even take over an existing system and bring it up to speed.

As an approved framework supplier to Gloucester City Council Decibel works with many schools, colleges, trusts and academies in the county, including Milestone School and National Star where protecting property and pupils is paramount.  Clients also include local hospitals, the Winfield Hospital, and various NHS surgeries. Decibel recently completed a security and CCTV system at the new Padel Club in Gloucester.

The firm is also proud to employ trainees and apprentices. Investing in specialist training and knowledge sharing is key to growing the workforce and partners with SGS Stroud College for career development.

Safeguarding is a growing concern and necessity in today’s world where recent projects have expanded to also include perimeter fencing construction, access control and CCTV monitoring. Decibel has generated 50% growth in the education sector in the last two years.

Decibel is proud of its team and is continuously growing its pool of qualified engineers to take excel in customer satisfaction and service.

The Decibel team comprises 14 people across management & sales, customer service and engineering. There are current opportunities to join the fast-growing team in the installation, engineering and service departments.

In 2024 Decibel Fire & Security celebrated 8 years as a business and following rapid growth in the commercial sector has moved to new offices at Waterwells, Quedgeley.

The new fit-for-purpose premises include office and training facilities, future-proofed with room to grow the team even further.
