I am a Chartered Insurance Broker with 30 years’ experience at major composite
insurance companies and high-performing insurance brokers, advising clients within many sectors about a wide range of commercial insurance products & introducing complementary financial services e.g. risk management, high net worth personal insurance for discerning individuals, employee benefits and financial planning.
My new employer Aston Lark were awarded Insurance Broker of the Year 2019 and their culture and values feel like a “good fit” for me in the early stages. Aston Lark has had an exceptional trajectory since its merger in 2018 with integrity and customers at the core of its strategy. The recent investment by Goldman Sachs continues to drive growth and I look forward to working with CEO Peter Blanc and the Aston Lark team to introduce their insurance and employee benefits proposition into this greenfield region for the group.
My career has progressed from technical insurance roles through sales into senior leadership. I am a “grafter” driven by quality, reputation and continual improvement to consistently deliver high performance, achieve results, meet challenges head-on, identify and seize opportunities in a dynamic environment. It’s also important for me to enjoy work and have fun!
Whilst at Jelf, I developed strong networks in the local business community and led our relationship with C2S as founder members. I’m delighted to be back in C2S on behalf of Aston Lark.
I am starting a new Aston Lark office from scratch during the Covid-19 outbreak, which is extraordinarily challenging but inspiring. I feel most businesses are looking for support right now and we can assist them by ensuring ongoing essential protection for their revised business model and new operations including management liability during furlough, unoccupied property, extended cyber risk and welfare obligations whilst many employees are working at home, cutting fleet costs for change of use or whilst vehicles are mothballed, ensuring new supply chains are adequately covered, saving premium cost for reduced risk of stock or negotiating payment terms etc.
Not all insurers or brokers are responding creatively (or even helpfully) and clients need strong representation with the minimum of fuss.
Now is the time to take ultimate accountability to assist businesses and apply my skills and experience on their behalf from within an organisation that is agile, ambitious, professional, proud of their client base with a broad proposition.
