Lilian Faithfull Care’s first charity shop opening soon!

Lilian Faithfull Care will soon be coming to Tewkesbury to open its first charity shop this summer.  Over its 76 year history, the Gloucestershire charity has cared for many Tewkesbury residents and their families, so it seems a very fitting location to launch this new venture.

Lilian Faithfull Care have the keys to the premises and are very excited! Look out for ‘Faithfull Vintage & Treasure’ shop on the Tewkesbury High Street, opposite the popular Café au Chocolat and next door to Peacocks.

A place where someone’s vintage becomes another’s new loved treasure. You’ll be able to browse, recycle and refresh your wardrobe and homeware with local, affordable and sustainable fashion.

With a bright, modern, spacious and friendly environment, it will make charity shopping a real a pleasure.  The children’s section will have pocket money treasures as well as clothing and books.

Martin Hughes, CEO of the charity commented, “The shop will raise important funds for the charity to care for more people in Gloucestershire, and raise awareness of the exceptional care we provide across our two adult day hubs and five residential and nursing homes.”

Shop Manager, Sarah Merritt is local to Tewkesbury and has worked for the charity for nearly 6 years, so is a fantastic advocate of its work. Sarah is currently recruiting volunteers who can give a few hours or a day, on a regular basis, to help in the new shop.

Sarah commented, “I’ve worked in retail before so when this Shop Manager opportunity came up within the charity, it sounded perfect. I am excited about bringing a team of volunteers together and would love to hear from anyone who might be able to help.”

Would you like to volunteer or perhaps you know someone amongst your friends or family that might like to join our team? Volunteers just need to be 18 or over, be happy to give a regular commitment and appropriate training will be provided. It will be a warm, inclusive place to volunteer and a great opportunity to be involved in the creation of the charity’s new project.

To apply to be a shop volunteer complete this online form www.lilianfaithfull.co.uk/volunteer-application and someone will be in touch.

Perhaps you’re an avid local Tewkesbury shopper or Instagramer that would like to share the charity’s shop news?

To find out more and to offer any help, Sarah would be delighted to hear from you via email at Sarah.Merritt@lilianfaithfull.co.uk

Sarah and the team are looking forward to being at the heart of the bustling community in Tewkesbury, and thank you in advance for any support you can give.

Shop, donate, volunteer and support their charity to care for more people in Gloucestershire, as they put care before profit and provide a ‘home for life’ promise.
