Steve covered:

  • Increases in IR35 checks so make sure you have this covered
  • Right To Work Checks – in theory the government launched in April 2022 and new on-line system but this still doesn’t seem to tell you who has a right to work so please keep doing the usual checks
  • Fit Notes are now on-line
  • No requirement for employees to tell employers if they have COVID so check your sick policy and what you are expecting them to do and what you are paying them
  • European Human Rights Commission looking to class Long COVID as a disability, watch this space
  • Post termination restrictions under review  – hints of following the French modal (unlikely to go this far!) but watch this space probably announcements in October
