Over 60 businesses met at Gloucestershire Airport for the C2S Meet the Neighbour event. A great turnout starting with breakfast at the Aviator and then moving over to look at the recent refurbishments at the airport – the first group of visitors to have seen the new look reception and departure areas.
It was fantastic to welcome so many neighbours and C2S members to the morning, including Go Vehicles, Clarkson Evans, Creed, Finance Roome, Little Jet Company, Brickhampton Golf Complex, ILEC IMEC, Premier Telecoms and Weston Aviation. We heard from Mark Ryan, MD Gloucestershire Airport of the plans for the airport as it grows from strength to strength. The airport is the UK’s busiest general aviation airport handling over 83,000 flights and home to over 200 aircraft ranging from microlights to international business jets. A fantastic resource for the region, with opportunities for businesses to move onto the site as part of the exciting development plans.
Over 40 businesses are already located on the airport employing over 500 people with a further 20+ aerospace and other businesses on Meteor Business Park employing a further 1500 people. The airport contributes in the order of £250m to the local economy.
The airport can cater for a huge variety of travel needs and it would be worth speaking to them and the Little Jet Company about what is possible.
