Finalists unveiled for the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards

23 of Worcestershire’s best apprentices, schools, training providers, apprenticeship champions and employers have been named as finalists for the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards 2022.

These finalists will join over 300 guests from the business and local community at the awards final, returning in a physical environment for the first time since 2019. The awards final is taking place on Thursday 17 November at Tree Tops Pavilion, West Midland Safari Park, where the winners of each category will be unveiled.

The popular celebration event will feature 11 awards categories with the final two awards being the illustrious ‘Worcestershire Apprenticeship Employer of the Year’ sponsored by Heart of Worcestershire College, and ‘Worcestershire Apprentice of the Year’ sponsored by Platform Housing Group.

It has also been announced that tables and seats for the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards can now be booked via a new website system, designed to make the whole process easier.

Gary Woodman, Chief Executive of the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “Congratulations to everyone who has been shortlisted for this year’s Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards. I always enjoy seeing the fantastic range of individuals, organisations and employers who are working hard to make sure that apprenticeships can be a success in the county.

“With tables now available for booking, I encourage any organisations who are passionate about creating the county’s future workforce to book a table and join us as we celebrate everyone involved in making apprenticeships succeed locally.”

Councillor Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Economy and Skills, said: “I would like to congratulate all those who have been selected as finalists for this year’s awards. The apprenticeship offer is a crucial pathway for allowing people to build skills, gather experience and develop or commence their career, and these awards always highlight the high quality of talent we have in the county.”
