About the event

Sustainability is a massive and many faceted concept and means different things to different people. It is easy for organisations to focus on carbon and energy reduction (because they get most of the airtime) but there is so much more to it and it’s vital that organisations start to think in a more integrated and holistic way to reduce risk and reap the benefits …..of which there are many!

These sessions give the time to hear from experts and share our own journeys and best practice so we can learn from each other.

This month we will hear from Andrew Lansley, Head of Sustainability at Cheltenham Festivals about all the things they are doing to become a more sustainable business.

Festival Vision 2025

Cheltenham Festivals is an arts and culture charity that creates experiences which bring joy, spark curiosity, connect communities and inspire change. The charity has embedded sustainability in its three-year plan and signed up to Powerful Thinking VISION2025, an industry-wide initiative to work together across the festivals and events sector through which we aim to achieve a 50% reduction in festival related annual GHG (Green House Gases) emissions by 2030.

With a comprehensive, ambitious, and realistic Sustainability Plan in place, CF is committed to achieving the VISION2025 pledge, launched in partnership with others a free-to-all Accessibility & Sustainability Toolkit, an exciting new resource that enables accessible and sustainable live events of all kinds – and has been named a Visit Gloucestershire Sustainability Champion.

Mark Atkinson from MA Technical Copywriting will talk about making the most of the opportunities from your Environmental Impact Reports.

We hope you will join us!
