C2S Leaders Forum – Gloucestershire Boardroom
- Thursday 30/05/2019
- 8:00am - 11:00am
Emma Taylor, Warden/CEO of The Dean Close Foundation will provide an overview to Dean Close and the aspirations and growth of the school. This is an exciting era for Dean Close, with the establishment of the Dean Close Foundation in 2015 following the acquisition of St John’s on-the-Hill Preparatory School and three nurseries in the Chepstow area. In 2017 the Foundation purchased a further two nurseries, Tree Tops in Cheltenham and Gloucester, taking its total number of nurseries to five. The amalgamation of Dean Close with St John’s has brought benefits to both. Emma will also share an exciting opportunity to discuss the future of skills and education.
We will then go on to discuss the value that being a truly sustainable business can bring us.
Sustainability and Beyond!
We will look at the Three Pillars that support a truly sustainable organisation, namely:
- Social responsibility, including staff engagement and you as part of the ‘supply chain’
- Environmental impact and your part in the ecosystem; and
- Financial measurements and outputs.
John Henry Looney and Chris Springett from Sustainable Direction will then lead a discussion on what we can all do differently in our businesses to make a difference.
Chatham House rules apply.
