Cheltenham Ladies College Ranks Top in UK Independent School – South West

TOP UK INDEPENDENT SCHOOL – SOUTH WEST

Delighted that CLC ranks top in the SW today, in the Sunday Times ‘Parent Power’ Schools Guide 2022.

This is based on aggregate exam results for GCSE, A levels and IB across three years – 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Using today’s independent school data, CLC also rank 34th in the UK overall, and:

– 3rd nationally for girls (boarding)

– 16th in UK for girls (boarding & day)

– UK top 20 (excl boys only/schools with no girls below sixth form)

Today we are comprised of 870 pupils of whom almost 200 are day girls, and our current pupil body have come to CLC from 500+ different feeder schools, making for a unique pupil community.

Admission to CLC is based on a wide range of criteria, not only test scores, and we look for breadth of interest and potential for us to develop over time.

We also currently have over 60 pupils supported by means-tested bursaries, enabling needs-blind access to a CLC education and making us a better school for their being here.

Courage, purpose, diversity, service to others, respect, innovation and creativity are core values, building the foundations for a fulfilling and meaningful life.
