Leader Insights – C2S Talks to Juliet Davenport, CEO Good Energy

We were delighted to welcome Juliet Davenport, CEO of Good Energy to speak to members as part of our C2S Talks To…. series.

As we start to go back to work what better opportunity is there to do a reset and look at what kind of world do we want to live in?

Juliet is passionate about Climate Change and it is all of our responsibilities to play our part in arresting the ravages of climate change.

We played the Good Energy manifesto – a great way to set the scene and get a feel for their mission to change the world.

Juliet then went on to explain their approach.

20 years ago, people in the UK had little choice about where their energy came from. 98% of UK energy was generated from fossil fuels – and with the growing threat of climate change, we desperately needed alternative and more sustainable options.  So in 1999 1999 – Juliet Davenport founded Good Energy as part of Good Energy Group PLC

Good Energy was set up to give people the choice to do something about climate change by choosing renewable energy for their homes and businesses – and they’ve been doing just that ever since.

Good Energy was an entirely new kind of UK energy company – a small, green sustainable supplier in an industry of coal, nuclear and gas giants supplying households and businesses. We want to give people a better choice: 100% renewable electricity from a company committed to growing the UK renewables industry.

  4. Consumers

And what businesses can do to make changes:

  1. Check your energy suppliers – if nothing else you can make this change. It’s often not more expensive.  Check out the C2S & Good Energy Partnership offer: https://www.goodenergy.co.uk/partner-pages/c2s/
