C2S National Women’s Leadership Network Online Event Huge Success!

We were delighted to welcome a great turnout for the launch of the C2S National Women’s Leadership Network online today. We had a fantastic response demonstrating the importance of women in leadership and women business being connected to a vibrant community where they can learn, share, collaborate and be inspired.

Following on from our Inspiring Women in Business Live event back in March, we felt the time was right to launch this new C2S event. We are delighted to see many more women in senior positions and many more opportunities for women in business today.

Post Pandemic there has been a shift in the way we work and reflection on what good leadership looks like today, many more open conversations and a desire to make a more inclusive and better working environment for all. We believe the time is right to provide a national network for women in leadership and in business, the opportunity to have an honest conversation, tackle business critical challenges and bring together a connected community to share knowledge, support each other and inspire our future leaders.

Today we talked about coaching and mentoring and the value this can bring to you and your organisations

A Reminder to join our Private LinkedIn Group, to carry on the conversation.

Stagecoach West provide local bus services in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire.

You probably know them as a local bus company but, fun fact, they are one of the largest bus operators in the UK. Since 1980, they have run express and local bus services across the country and will continue to play an important role in helping people access work, education, health, shopping and leisure.

Their parent company, Stagecoach Group, also looks after megabus.com, our intercity coach company that connects communities across longer distances.

Stagecoach West Rachel Geliamassi

We introduced Rachel who had an open and honest conversation about coaching and mentoring, the value it had brought to her and her organisation,  how to embrace this opportunity and how to go about setting the boundaries and finding the right person for you!

Rachel’s top tips, useful connections and insights can only be sourced through our closed LinkedIn Group.

Take a look at how it all went here!

We launched 3 polls asking for audience engagement and asked 3 questions for the round table discussions. Attendees had the opportunity to move tables and meet new people and hear new ideas and experiences.

We asked –

Q 1 – Discuss your personal experience of coaching and mentoring and your reflections

Have you had coaching or mentoring?

Have you been a coach or a mentor?

How was your experience?

What value did you gain?

Q2 – What are the things you would expect to see in an organisation that has a coaching/mentoring culture?

  • How would you create a coaching or mentoring culture?
  • Which do you think would be best suited to your oragnisation – coaching or mentoring or both?
  • What would the benefits be?
  • How could an organisation demonstrate it has a coaching/mentoring culture?

Q 3 – Please take a moment to share with us in the chat what your challenges are and what topics you would like to discuss going forward.

This is what attendees today said!

We do hope you will join us at the next event and be part of our vibrant, digital community!
