HR Focus – C2S Looks at Identifying and Managing Stress with Tidal Training Ltd

This week we explored stress! How to identify when we or our people are stressed, how to manage stress and useful top tips and expert advice from Colin Frensham and Alastair Robertson.

Colin works with the NHS and many organisation that experience high levels of stress on training their people to be more aware and better understand the signs, triggers and the  solutions to overcoming this!

At this online event we explored the complex range of symptoms that a person can experience when stressed whilst also examining the reasons why people experience and deal with stress differently.

We looked at ways we could recognise and manage the stress of our people, as well as our own stress through a range of validated techniques that build both resilience and coping.

We Discussed:

  • Defining stress
  • The difference between distress and eustress
  • The symptoms that may result from stress
  • Positive coping methods for dealing with stress
  • Progressive muscle relaxation

Colin Frensham. Founder and Director,  Tidal Training Ltd provides the highest quality of healthcare, medical, clinical training and first aid training to their customer base nationwide. The company was founded in 2012 by Colin Frensham (Director)

Colin has over 19 years management and training experience in the healthcare sector and had previously worked at management level for national and multi-national organisations.

Colin has nearly 30 years medical knowledge behind him which all started in 1986 when Colin served in Her Majesty’s Forces for 13 years as a combat medical technician in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He has also worked in the offshore industry as a remote site and offshore medic.

Colin was presented with a Staffordshire Ambulance Service commendation in 2002 for stopping at assisting the scene of a fatal accident having saved the life of the critically injured driver before emergency services could attend the scene.
