A snapshot of success: Hazlewoods supports rawpixel with growth plans

Hazlewoods Corporate Finance team are delighted to have helped a creative South West company to secure funding for its ambitious growth plans.

Gloucester-based rawpixel, run by brother and sister Rob and Louise Churchill, supplies high-resolution photographs and illustrations to more than 1.3 million subscribers via its platform, www.rawpixel.com, which was launched in 2018.

Working with over 100 photographers, artists, and graphic designers to create interesting content for its users, rawpixel owns the copyright to over 1.5 million unique images that have been licensed more than 100 million times.

After years of organic growth, Rob and Louise realised that rawpixel needed funding if they were to achieve their goal of making rawpixel.com the ultimate design resource site, rivalling companies like Getty Images and Shutterstock.

Having been rejected by multiple traditional high street lenders, the pair turned to Hazlewoods for help. Hazlewoods introduced an alternative lender, Triple Point Group, who were willing to provide finance. rawpixel can now forge ahead with its plans to:

§ Build a design platform for customers to make and customise social, marketing and business templates
§ Employ a sales team to target business users including digital media and marketing agencies
§ Create more content by:
o Scaling the design team
o Setting up a UK production studio
o Global photoshoots
§ Improve copyright and trademark protections

Ellis Diamante, Relationship Director at Triple Point, said: “Triple Point is delighted to have partnered with rawpixel, an industry-leading producer of awesome design resource.”
